RAJOURI: The Ace of Spades Division organised T20 Cricket League and Kho Kho tournament for girls between selected teams of Poonch, Rajouri and Nowshera sectors as a part of Phase I of the Pir Panjal Premier Knights League Tournament (PPKPL) under Army’s Operation Sadhbhavna initiative from 6th to 9th November, 2014 at the Raina Stadium in Rajouri.
The final of cricket match was played between Poonch and Nowshera team in which Poonch team emerged as
winners. In the girls Kho Kho tournament team Rajouri emerged as the winner in the final match played between Rajouri and Nowshera.
The winners and the selected players will be playing in the final phase of PPKPL being organised by the White Knights Corps at Reasi later this month.
Maj Gen Saranjeet Singh, GOC Ace of Spades Division, the chief guest of the function while giving away the prizes emphasized that the aim of the tournament is to constructively engage the youth of the region through the medium of sports thereby inculcating the spirit of sportsmanship, brotherhood and leadership amongst the future of the nation.
