MENDHAR : The residents of ward No 2, Mendhar who suffered acute shortage of water due to broken valve of the main pipe through which thousands of litres of water leaked continuously for 15 days, heaved a sigh of relief after replacement of this broken valve on Friday. The consumers including Rohani Chandan, Sonu Sharma, Rajat Kapoor, Mannu Malik, Gulshan Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Kamal Kapoor, Bharat Bhushan, Atish Raina and others thanked STATE TIMES for highlighting their problem in its edition of 27th April, 2016 in an appropriate manner which prompted the department to remove the defect and address their problem.
During interaction AE PHE Israr Ahmed said that there had been delay in replacing the valve due to non-availability of the store.
