PHE ITI, CP workers protest enters day 70

JAMMU: Hundreds of PHE daily rated, ITI and CP workers, who are on strike for the last 70 days, on Monday held a protest against the government for its failure to release their salaries and frame policy for their regularisation.
A large number of PHE daily wagers, ITI trained and CP workers assembled at Exhibition Ground near Press Club and raised anti-government slogans.
The workers from various districts and Sub Divisions under the banner of All J and K PHE, ITI Trained and CP Workers Association led by Tanveer Hussain held strong protest.
Tanveer alleged that despite assurance given by PHE Minister and Finance Minister and senior officers, their demands have not been met till date.
The agitating workers were demanding to frame proper policy for their regularisation and release of their pending wages. They alleged that government has turned a deaf ear towards their plight.
He said the workers will intensify their agitation if the issue was not resolved during at the earliest
Others who participated in the protest were Manjeet Singh, Bhanu Partap, Jeevan Singh, Tilak Raj, Pardeep Sharma, Sanjeev Thakur, Vijay Kumar, Pawan, Altaaf Ahmed, Dhani Ram, Subash, Nisar Ahmed and Ashok Kumar.
