PHE employees to Gharao secretariat on Jan 10

JAMMU: PHE Workers Welfare Association (PHEWWA) asked the government to redress regularisation and salary issues of employees in coming budget session or be ready to face dire consequences.
“We warn the PDP-BJP Coalition Government to settle the regularisation and monthly wages issues of the workers in the budget in the coming Assembly session by 9th January otherwise we will Gharao Secretariat on 10th January,” said Bakshi Singh, Provincial President of the Association, while addressing media persons here on Tuesday.
He said that the State Government as well as the PHE Minister has miserably failed to resolve the long pending demands of the low paid workers particularly of daily wagers of the department.
He said that daily wagers have been demanding their regularisation and monthly wages for the last so many years but nothing has been done in this connection despite assurances given by the minister concerned from time to time.
Bakshi Singh and General Secretary of the Association, Subash Verma alleged that all categories of non-gazetted and Class-IV employees of the Department may are constantly being ignored by the higher authority of PHE Department.
They further added that even the sectional demands which are even in the competency of Chief Engineer of PHE Department Jammu have not been redressed in due course of time.
Bakshi said that even the promotion matters of the employees are being delayed on one pretext or other. He said that delaying tactics as adopted by the PHE administration cannot be tolerated any more.
The struggle can be intensify if their demands fell flat on the deaf ears of the authority.
The association has also appealed to all the concerned workers of the department to join the proposed protest rally on 10th January in maximum strength by observing mass casual leave for grand success of the programme.
Rattan Doshi, Surjit Singh, Chuni Lal, Ram Labhaya, Kulbushan Nanda, Ravi Kumar, Lal Chand, Raju Jamwal, Ajit Singh, Manzoor Ali, Yash Pal Singh, Kuldip Raj, Himat Kumar and Anil Kumar were also present in the press conference.
