JAMMU: Casual labourers of Public Health Engineering Department on Thursday held a protest demonstration demanding regularisation policy for the workers engaged in department.
Raising slogans in support of their demands, the protestors urged the government to frame regularization policy for all causal workers/ITI Trained/ CP Workers who have completed five years of service.
President, All J and K PHE, ITI Trained and CP Workers Association, Tanveer Hussain said previous National Conference-Congress State Government made false promises for regularization of around 26,000 casual labors working in PHE Department.
He said no money or funds are sanctioned for the regularization and wages of the daily wagers and CP workers and there is no increase in the daily wage given to the casual labourers neither there is any promise to do the same.
The Prominent activists who will be addressing the protest were Vice President-Deepak Gupta, General Secretary- Subash Chander, Advisor-Kulbushan Singh, All District President-Manjeet Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Jeevan Singh, Gopal Singh, Parveen Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Ajay Tilak Raj, Romy Verma, Mohammad Yonis, Intkabh Hussain, Ashok Kumar, Yogesh, Dushant Kumar, Mushtaq Ahmed, Maqbool Hussain, Mohan Lal, Kuldeep Choudhary and Raman Khajuria.
