PGI trauma centre
Dear Editor,
My father-in-law was badly injured in a hit-and-run accident. He was admitted to the PGI by a taxi driver. By the time we could learn about it, through the PCR, we were almost three hours late in arriving at the PGI trauma centre. But to our surprise, even though he was an unknown patient, doctors had done his CT scan and he was being administered the required medicines. I was grateful to all doctors at the trauma centre who did so much for an old, unknown patient. I also admire the system being followed in such cases. A young doctor made it clear that the case was hopeless, but said they were doing their best. The patient could not make it, but the attitude of the doctors was commendable.
