JAMMU: In men’s inter-college volleyball competition, the PG Departments lifted the title trophy after they trounced GDC Hiranagar in straight sets of 30-28, 25-20, 26-24. Earlier in the semifinals, played today, PG Department beat GDC Udhampur 2-1 (19-25, 25-19, 15-12) while GDC Hiranagar outplayed GDC Akhnoor 2-0 (28 -26, 25-22). The title trophy was presented to visiting jubilant side of PG Departments by the Chief Guest, Director Sports and Physical Education, JU, Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia.
Prominent among those present were Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Kuldip Magotra, Anil Kumar, Ravish Vaid, Romesh Sharma, Gagan Kumar and Vikas Karlopia.
Today’s final and semifinal matches were conducted by the technical panel including Amarjeet Singh, Mulkhraj Khajuria, Amit Sharma, Shwali Dogra, Bandna Sharma and Surekha Sharma.
