PG College Rajouri holds symposium

RAJOURI: Govt. Post Graduate College Rajouri in an effort to inculcate the values of truth and non violence among the students and youth today organised an intra college symposium on truth and non violence in the multipurpose hall of the college. As many as twelve students from science and humanities background participated and deliberated extensively on the subject. They expressed the importance and relevance of organising threadbare discussions and interactions on such priceless human, social and religious values including truth non violence, tolerance, amity, brotherhood, mutual, respect etc. as the same have been vanishing swiftly from the human world and that is undoubtedly a tragedy.
The program was chaired by Prof. Shabir Hussain Shah Principal of the College where as Prof. M.K Waqar Vice Principal , Prof. Abdul Rouf, Prof. Assad Ullah Khan, Prof. Nazakat , Dr.Ghulam Abass and Prof. Yasir Ch. graced the occasion.
The Chief Guest in his address urged the students to come forward and seize upon such opportunities to explore their real self. He opined that the values like truth and non violence form the foundation of almost all the religions of the world and it is general and established principle for growth and progress of healthy individuals, society and nations.
The jury members included Prof. Haqeeqat Singh Ishar HOD Chemistry Prof. Javed Mughal HOD English and Prof. Anwar Hussain Shah who declared Toyba Bhat, Zeenat Fatima, Sahil Gupta and Ubaidullah Mansoor as first, second and third petitioners respectively. The programme was compered by Shadab Ali Mir and coordinated by Prof. Mohd Iqbal Raina Convener Literary Committee where as Prof. Mohd Salim Wani presented welcome address and Prof. Abdul Haq Naeemi presented vote of thanks.
