JAMMU: “Overwhelming response of the people and their support during the recently concluded Assembly elections has rejuvenated my strength and infused added confidence to work for the welfare of the people,” senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu East Constituency, Rajesh Gupta, said while addressing a function organized at Ram Mandir Purani Mandi here on Monday.
Rajesh said that he will try his best to prove that every vote which has gone in favour of BJP should get a worthwhile response,
Rajesh assured the people that future prospects of development plans as envisaged for the constituency will fairly consider the aspirations of all the sections of society.
He expressed his gratefulness towards people of the constituency for showing faith in his leadership.
Prominent persons including Mahant Rameshwar Dass, Sanjay Mahay, Purshotam, Joginder, Pandoh, Daya Ram, Manav, Dharampal, Kuldeep Raj Dubey, Ashwani, Purnima Sharma and Rajni Sethi were also present.
Earlier, Rajesh Gupta participated in the Nagar Kirtan organised on the occasion of Prakash Utsav of Tenth Guru of Sikhs, Shri Guru Gobind Singh at Bikram Chowk here. Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Kiran Wattal and Chairman Central Cooperative Bank, Dinesh Gupta accompanied the MLA during his visit.
MLA Jammu East along with other dignitaries paid obeisance at the Holy Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred book of Sikhs, to seek the blessings of Almighty. He was warmly welcomed by the Sangat and the prominent Sikh leaders.
