People protest slow investigation in murder case

UDHAMPUR: Local people of Tehsil Ramnagar on Saturday blocked the road and held protest against the police for not investigating murder case seriously and accused involved in the case are moving freely despite having been identified by the victim before his death.
According to reports large number of local residents of Ramnagar locality and family members of the victim assembled at bus stand, where they protested against the Ramnagar Police in order to show their resentment against it. Protestor alleged that police is not conducting fair investigation in murder case of Som Raj son of Lajju Ram resident of Ramnagar who was murdered by some local persons last week.
Protestors also raised slogans against the police for its utter failure to provide justice to aggrieved family. Protestors alleged that Ramnagar Police is hoodwinking the investigation for reasons best known to them and derailing the process of fair investigation. It is pertinent to mention here that two local persons identified by victim Som Raj (later expired) were Parkash Chand and Loundi Ram who attacked him head.
He made this his statement before dieing. Victim was shifted to SDH Ramnagar he beathed his last and declared dead by doctors. Surprisingly, Ramnagar Police despite knowing about the accused has not arrested them. Tehsildar Ramnagar rushed to the spot and pacified the protestors with the assurance to expedite the investigation and book the accused persons involved in the case.
