POONCH: Protests were held against CAPD at different places in Poonch for introducing new ration policy and misappropriating the government ration. They totally rejected the new policy of National Food Security Act (NFSA) and demanded that the same should be withdrawn.
The residents of Panchayat Khanetar Dubrian, Poonch under the leadership of Mohd Azad Chouhan held a protest at Khanetar and blocked the road. The protesters said that the CAPD has misappropriated the ration of 483 flood victim families of September 2014. They alleged that only 200 families were given ration and the ration for 483 families was not distributed among them. They demanded that an immediate inquiry be conducted into the misappropriation of balance ration.

They demanded immediate revocation of the Act. Prominent among those present in the protest include Mohd Ashraf Naib Sarpanch, Mohd Nizam Din Panch, Mukhtar Ahmed Panch, Haji Abdul Latief and Mohd Rafiq.
