People of Kargil are with BJP: Chugh

KARGIL: Lauding the initiatives taken by the Narendra Modi Government in enhancing, upgrading and modernizing the air connectivity in the Union Territory of Ladakh, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said on Sunday that the Centre is committed to construct an Airport in Kargil for promoting the tourism sector.
“From Kargil to Pakyong in Sikkim, several far-off places in the various states will soon be connected with the major cities, as part of the Union government’s ambitious UDAN initiative, also known as the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS),” Chugh said on his arrival at Kargil this afternoon.
Talking to reporters, Tarun Chugh said that people of Kargil are with BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken care of all the sections including youth, women, ex-servicemen, border people and the welfare schemes launched are proving to be beneficial to the large population of the Kargil region.
He said the BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi did a lot of development work, including improving road connectivity, hospital, tunnels for the welfare of the entire Ladakh region.
He said the people are benefitting from the welfare schemes initiated by the Prime Minister and want in continuity in these for progress and prosperity of the region. He hoped the people of Kargil will continue their support to the BJP and will give a huge mandate to the party the elections to accelerate the development process in Kargil. He added that earlier only three to four people from Kargil visited for Haj but now the Haj committee was constituted and 400 to 500 people performed the pilgrimage. Earlier, a grand welcome was given to Tarun Chugh by BJP Karyakartas on his arrival at Kargil.
