NOWSHERA: People on Tuesday gave warm reception to Ravinder Sharma-MLC for being nominated as Congress candidate for Nowshera Constituency.
Senior leaders of Congress, Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent citizens received him at Nowshera and took him to main bazaar of the city where people profusely garlanded the Congress leader. He was taken to Thakur Dwara Community Ground, where he addressed a largely attended Congress rally.
While addressing the gathering, Ravinder Sharma thanked Congress High Command and party leadership for party mandate and expressed gratitude to party leaders and workers for giving him warm welcome. He said that Congress Party guarantees the unity and integrity and cautioned the people against the divisive politics of BJP and PDP and others for their political interest. He said the Congress party has always maintained principle of secularism and added that he has been serving Nowshera Constituency for the last five years, as Member of the Legislative Council and due to his efforts massive development including administrative units, upgradation of schools and medicare facilities has taken place in the area. He appealed to the Congress workers to work unitedly for the victory of Congress Party and said that Congress will emerge victorious and choose its Chief Minister for the equitable development of all three regions of the State.
