JAMMU: All Jammu and Kashmir Pensioners and Civil Society Association on Monday hailed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Dr Haseeb Draboo Finance Minister for according Cabinet sanction in providing full relief in respect of DA percentage announced by the Central Government at the time of retirement.
The association members in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Ajit Singh Adyal, President of the Association said that with the nod of State Government on the issue, later complicacies of claiming DA arrears shall be considerably lessened.
The meeting also congratulated Mehbooba for winning election with record number of votes.
It was also mentioned that Mehbooba has taken all round bold steps including starting of SRTC buses exclusively for ladies.
The meeting also demanded amendment in SROs 92, 93 and 94 of 2009. N.D Sharma, Dr Amrik Singh, S.R Amla, O.P Lakhnotra, Darshan Kumar, Mohammad Shafi, C.D Verma, J.R Gupta, Kartar Chand, Jangral, Krishan Lal Sharma, S.R Sharma, Mohammad Ashad, Munshi Khan Chowdhary, Bishan Dass and Jagdish Sharma were also present.
