JAMMU: On the eve of the first phase of five-stage Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, PDP patron Mufti Mohmmad Sayeed on Monday said his party’s prime agenda is to protect dignity and honour of the people of the State.
“Our agenda is to protect dignity and honour of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to provide justice to all sections of the society,” Mufti said while addressing public meetings in Reasi district in support of party candidates.
“Attaining power was not the only aim of PDP, but unlike other parties PDP has never compromised with its agenda,” he said.

“Ensure victory of PDP candidates I will give representation to members of minority community in the Legislative Council,” Mufti said.
He said that this mountainous region has huge tourism potential and there was a need to properly exploit tourism of this belt.
“Proper utilisation of tourism potential of this beautiful belt would bring change in the socio-economic conditions of the people of this backward belt,” he said at Gool, adding that PDP would formulate a comprehensive plan for this belt to change fate of the people of this belt.
