PDP for making Jammu as Smart City: Bharat
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Resolving pending issues and completing major projects are the priority of the party in its manifesto for Jammu region,” People’s Democratic Party (PDP) contesting candidate from Jammu-East, Bharat Choudhary said in a joining function, held at Gujjar Nagar, here on Sunday.
Bharat said that the pace of work on all the projects suffered due to absence of proper monitoring by the government as the concerned department failed to maintain pace of construction works.
He further said, “People are still suffering on account of lack of basic amenities and facilities like health, water, power, education etc.”
He attributed it to the wrong planning of the State governance due to which the people of Jammu-East Constituency particularly have suffered a lot.
He alleged that flagship schemes of State and Central Sponsored Schemes have not been utilised properly to deliver benefits to this constituency.
Claiming to stress Central Government to consider the name of Jammu into the list of Smart Cities, Bharat said, “PDP after forming new government in Jammu and Kashmir will press the Central Government to consider the name of Jammu city in the list of Smart Cities announced by the Prime Minister across the country.”
Earlier, a large number of youth, prominent citizens and women joined the party in presence of Bharat and other senior leaders.
Riyaz Khan, Rohan, Umar Shah, Hussain, Irfan Malik, Nek Mohammad, Asif, Zakir Wani and Rahul among others were those who joined the party.
