PDP exploiting agenda of good governance: Mir

srinagar: Blaming government for undermining the authority of democratic institution in the State, Congress accused PDP-BJP Coalition for using these institutions for personal benefit. The Party accused Coalition Government for exploiting people on good governance. PDP has lost the people’s trust and has no answer to their queries because of its utter failure on all fronts, party said.
While addressing a public meeting at Sonsambil village of District Pulwama on Sunday, JKPCC Chief, G.A Mir said the PDP has completely sellout of the conscience for the sake of coming into power, has exposed it before the people and lost people’s trust.
Squarely blaming PDP for ensuring deferment of by-polls, PCC Chief said that PDP know the ground political situation and see it’s defeat in these elections and ahead. He said PDP also know that it has betrayed the people for the sake of power and is not in a position to face the electorate, he added.
Expressing surprise over the u-turns by PDP on various occasions, particularly on government formation and Anantnag By-Polls, Mir said, on the one hand PDP feels and claims also that it has strong base in South, on the other hand, it (PDP) ensured the deferment of Polls, which has put a big question mark on the performance and dubious role being played by PDP, the fact remains, that PDP cannot face the voters, because of its utter failure on every front.
Accusing PDP-BJP Government for undermining the democratic institutions in the State, PCC Chief said that Congress Party won’t allow anyone to undermine the authority of these institutions for personal benefit, it (Congress) would continue to strive hard for strengthening the democratic Institutions in order to ensure that people from the grass roots levels are strengthened and benefitted from these institutions, he said.
Mir said that Congress believes in constructive opposition, but at the same he took a dig at the PDP-BJP Coalition for exploiting people by playing with their emotions on the agenda of good governance.
Referring to the local issues of common people, Mir said that ration is a big issue in the State, J and K being the rice eater State, deserves to be provided ration, as per the food habit, the decrease in ration scale has infused a sense of insecurity among the people. Mir emphasized the need for increase in quota of ration.
Those who addressed the gathering include MLA Haji Ab. Rashid Dar, Mohd Anwar Bhat Vice Presidents PCC, MLA Usman Majeed, MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani, General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah, District President G.M Mir and Fayaz Ahmad Dar.
