PDP committed to empower womenfolk: Bharat

JAMMU: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) contesting candidate from Jammu East, Bharat Choudhary emphasised on empowerment of women. He said that women play vital role in progress of society.
While addressing women workers in a joining function organised for women folk at its Party office Peer Mitha, Bharat said that women have to play a major role in building a healthy society.
Bharat stated that considering equal importance of women in the society, PDP has given mandates to the women candidates in the coming Assembly elections and the party will left no stone unturned to stand behind the women in every field to project their honour and dignity in the State.
Welcoming the new women entrants in the party fold, Bharat assured women of the Jammu-East Constituency that PDP will establish sewing centres and give benefits to women folk when PDP formed the new government in the State so that they can earn their livelihood without any stress.
A large number of women folk of Peer Mitha today joined the party fold in presence of Bharat Choudhary and other senior leaders.
Meanwhile, Bharat also joined the Shia procession and installed a stall of eatables for the Shia community.
Vashoo B, Chanoo Devi, Neelam Tandal, Vijay Kumari, Sonia B, Bansoo Devi, Radha Devi, Raj Rani, Mihander Kour and Makhin Devi joined the party fold.
Women Wing President Shanti Devi, Vijay Raina, District President Manju Sharma, Kanta Bhat, Mubaris and Ashok Jogi were also present.
