PDP committed to empower rural population: Tak

KISHTWAR: Underlying that State’s developmental agenda is on priority of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), MLC Firdous Ahmed Tak, in a public Darbar at village Hudri, convened as a part of ongoing Panchayat Contact Campaign, said that PDP taught lesson of constructive development to the stakeholders in State politics including opposition members. He said that Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was committed to empower the rural population and PDP will do everything to fulfill the dreams of Mufti Sayeed.
He alleged that opposition parties have destructive mindset and they continuously tried to create difficulties for PDP to achieve its developmental agenda but all their plans to hinder progress of State were failed by the commitment shown by PDP leadership.
He particularly mentioned NC for trying to impair the PDP’s agenda of peace and progress. “Mehbooba Mufti is a powerful leader having a mission to ensure people’s welfare and maintain sustainable development. No one can desist her from accomplishing this job”, he added.
He also focused on the issues of villagers and asked the workers to intensify the party activities on ground to establish constructive contact with general masses.
Meanwhile, in connection with the visit of PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti to Kishtwar for launch of membership drive, a meeting to review arrangements was presided over by Firdous Tak and District President Sheikh Nasir Hussain.
District Secretary Ishtiyaq Hussain Waza, State Youth Secretary, Umar Malik, Wasil Doolwal, District President Youth Kishtwar, Nazir Ahmed Shah, Sajad Ahmed Dev, Capt (retired) Mohd Ashraf Kichloo, Arshad Hussain Giri, Mushtaq Ahmed, Sajjad Ahmed Butt, Mohd Munwar Butt, Sajjad Ahmed and Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh also attended the meeting.
