PDP-BJP pushing J&K to wall: Saroori
STATE TIMES NEWS
KISHTWAR: Senior J&K Congress leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the PDP-BJP dispensation for pushing Jammu and Kashmir to wall by creating a situation of drift, showing insensitivity towards peoples’ aspirations and forcing aggressive nationalism saying that it has created a chaotic situation.
“Both the regions of Kashmir and Jammu are on boil because of the wrong policies of the coalition partners, which are serving complementary and supplementary to each other,” Saroori said while addressing public meetings at Tatani area of Saroor in Tehsil Drabshalla.
Saroori expressed serious concern over the erratic power supply and scarcity of essential commodities including ration, Atta, sugar, hospital supplies and LPG in the Chenab region and asked the administration to address the problems of the people especially who are braving biting cold in Kishtwar and Doda without power supply and ration. He said that the shortage of ration in hilly areas speaks volumes about the insensitivity and callousness of the authorities. He said there is shortage of ration especially rice, sugar and wheat/ flour in government depots adding the prevailing poor power supply has virtually left the life in Chenab valley out of gear and the people faced tremendous hardships due non- availability of ration, sugar, kerosene and LPG. “Not only the freezing temperature but the unscheduled power cuts and inadequate supply of LPG cylinders has aggravated the situation further. The authorities seem hardly bothered about the problems faced by the common people in Chenab region,” Saroori remarked.
Saroori further said that people are being devoid of basic amenities. The administration should ensure that people in these districts are not neglected and sufficient arrangements be made before a snowfall in the region.
