JAMMU: The so called development agenda of PDP and BJP partnered Government in Jammu and Kashmir has merely shrunk into making new excuses by the leadership of both these political outfits to put a veil on their failure to tackle the existing power and potable water crisis which has marred the quality of life of Jammu people significantly.
This was stated by National Conference’s Additional Spokesperson Surinder Singh Bunty (Advocate) through a handout released here on Tuesday.
The only achievement of BJP-PDP Government till date is creating worst ever power crisis due to indifference of its leadership most of which is at present camping in pleasant and cozy dwellings at Kashmir Valley keeping the State machinery on toes to entertain them with exotic extravaganza and having no regrets over Jammuites facing brunt of PDD and PHE Department’s prejudice.
“Unscheduled power cuts mingled with dried up PHE water lines during sweltering hot days of peak summers has virtually made the life of people in Jammu and its outskirts a hell.
The electorate which has overwhelmingly supported BJP and PDP in Assembly polls believing in these parties’ promises to ‘catch the sky’ are now repenting on the decision of bringing them to power”, he said and asked that how a government which is incapable of providing even the basic amenities can think of ensuring all round development of the State? He asserted that both BJP and PDP have to pay a heavy price for neglecting the aspirations of people especially on scarcity of power, water and ration.
