JAMMU: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) on Tuesday slammed BJP and PDP leadership for deceiving the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community on resolving the problems being confronted by the displaced community.
Addressing a meeting, Shadi Lal Pandita, President JTC said that during election campaign BJP and PDP leaders made tall claims that in case they come to power they will ensure rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community. “It is unfortunate that both PDP and BJP after attaining power failed to remember their promises and left the KP community reeling under more trouble with added misery of NFSA implementation, etc.
He said that since the community has not yet been rehabilitated permanently as such banning issuance of RBA Certificates to the beneficiaries of this community hailing from Reserved Backward areas of Kashmir Valley is grave injustice. He demanded early revival of the orders for issuance of RBA Certificates to the deserving candidates.
He also reiterated the release of ration on old pattern and warned of agitation if the same is not provided at the earliest. He also sought one-time compensation of Rs. 81 lakh to each and every migrant family.
Raj Kumar Tickoo, Sunil Koul, Rajinder Dhar, Hari Krishan Pandita, S.L Kar, Ram Pandita, M.K Raina, Rattan Lal Bhat, Sunil Raina, Rashu Khana, M.L Akhnoon, M.L Pandita, Sanjay Pandita, Vijay Pandita, Methan Pandita, Ramesh Bhat and Chaman Lal Pandita were also present in the meeting.
