R S PURA: Asserting that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is the only party in entire Jammu and Kashmir State that has a track record of working for all the sections of the society, party’s official nominee from R.S. Pura constituency Bhushan Lal Dogra said that party leadership has always provided succour to the needy ones.
He said under Mufti’s tenure, State witnessed growth in all sectors of development especially education sector where more than 1 lakh jobs were generated for the unemployed youth of the State by adjusting them as Rehabar-e-Talim and in Anganwari as Anganwari workers.
“A continued calm was maintained when PDP was in power from 2002-2005 along the borders as BJP in center under then Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee had a clear policy of maintaining friendship with the neighbouring Pakistan. People suffered least hardships along the international borders and the Pakistani side also respected the ceasefire and didn’t violate the truce”, said Bhushan while addressing meetings and conducting door to door campaign at Chohalla, Kullian, Rangpur, Tindey, Rattian, Maralian, Tutrey, Basti Krishna Nagar, Tallaba Chak.
People are running from pillar to post for finding a solution to their genuine grievances but owing to a corrupt regime in the State, most of their problems remained unaddressed throughout the long six year Coalition Government in the State.
Dogra said that the condition of infrastructures has gone worse from bad, roads are in dilapidated conditions, power as well as water supply is limited to border villages, losses to crops are not being compensated properly, focused attention on the high quality Basmati rice is lacking from the government, downfall in the graph of sex ratio owing to migration of chunk of border population to foreign countries in search of better jobs are among certain other issues where government is lagging behind due to lack of a perspective approach.
He said most of the candidates campaigning for the border belt are unaware of the basic problems being faced by the people in R.S Pura Constituency and some of them used to visit the constituency once in year to know the status of their personal works.
He added that time has come to show door to such politicians and elect a responsible legislator who will stand shoulder to shoulder to get the public problems addressed. “So I appeal you to vote on the day of polling in numbers and vote for PDP which has a track record of serving people of all sections of the society”, said Dogra.
