JAMMU: Alleging grave injustice in the suspension of their colleague in the matter of death of a need based worker who was electrocuted on job while obeying the orders of the concerned Junior Engineer (JE), scores of linemen of Power Development Department (PDD) staged a demonstration here on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, the representatives of linemen alleged that the officers in a move to save their skin have shifted the onus of the accident on lineman Dalip Singh in the shape of his suspension orders. They said that instead of taking action against concerned JE, the higher ups of the department have made the aforesaid lineman scapegoat. They warned the officers to immediately revoke the suspension order of Dalip Singh and take action against the Junior Engineer, on whose directions the victim need-based worker lost his life.
