Pawan for extending Ladli Beti scheme

SRINAGAR: MLA Udhampur Pwan Gupta strongly pleaded for the extension of ‘Ladli Beti’ scheme across the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that confining of this scheme up to only six districts has no justification while the people in all the 22 districts of the State are confronted to the similar situation.
Gupta also demanded enhancement of widows family pension, physically challenged persons and old age pension to Rs 1,000 as promised earlier. He demanded that the pendency in the payment of pension should also be cleared.
He demanded that all the schemes including Jan Dhan Yojna enforced as a social responsibility of the State, need to be practically implemented which will prove a success for eradication of poverty in the State.Meanwhile Gupta while moving supplementary to Assembly Questions wanted to know as to why Udhampur is kept completely isolated from the alloctgion of Central Road Fund despite lagging behind in development of road connectivity. He stressed for formulation of comprehensive policy for equitable distribution of CR Funds for all constituencies.
