Dear Editor,
“Pathankot-Leh line project gets nod” is welcome as it would usher in an era of prosperity in hills and strengthen the country’s security.
The Railways has not progressed an inch in the hills post Independence. This project should be implemented with modern technology, including flyovers and tunnels, with minimum damage to ecology. The Pathankot-Joginder Nagar train, a poor cousin of the Kalka-Shimla train, also needs the government’s attention. It will benefit the residents of the area.
