JAMMU: Army Public School (APS) Damana has been awarded by the CEE Ahmedabad for National Level Paryavaran Mitra Puraskar Award for one of the best schools in the country for carrying out activities of Paryavaran Mitra Hand Print.
Secretary School Education, Nirmal Sharma, Director School Education, R.A Inqlabi presented this award to Green Brigade teachers and a group of students of the school at IIPA Conference Hall.
Chairman WWF India, Dr C.M Seth lauded the school’s efforts in keeping the environment clean, green and healthy. He also appreciated ‘The Reaching Out to Community Awareness Programme’ of the school with special reference. He motivated the students to work for sustainable development.
Principal of the School, Dr Renu Gupta said that this award is an impetus for the school to continue its excellent performance in the years to come. She appreciated the efforts of Green Brigade In-charge Gurdeep Kaur and students who actively participated in the activities for their exemplary performance.
