UDHAMPUR: Parveen Handball Club in men and District Coaching Centre (DCC) in women section emerged winners of the District Udhampur Handball Championship which was organised by Handball Association of Udhampur at Mini Stadium, here.
In the finals, played on Sunday, Parveen Club defeated Udhampur Handball Club 26-25 in a closely contested game. Similarly, in women’s final, again it was neck to neck fight between District Coaching Centre and Army Public School Udhampur wherein former won the game 11-10.
In the finals and prize distribution function, District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar was Chief Guest, who gave away the prizes. Among others present were Vikram Singh, Arun Gupta, Suresh Khajuria, Sanjeev Magotra, Sanjeev Verma, Arun Mehta, Jasbir Singh and Surjeet Singh.
The event took place under the supervision of Ravi Singh Jaswal (General Secretary) and officiated by the Technical Panel including Ajay Sharma, Rishi Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Vipin Photra, Raju, Sourav Pandit and Karun Magotra.
