Parties, organizations celebrate Lohri

JAMMU: The festival of ‘Lohri and Makar Sankranti’ was celebrated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists with senior leaders, State office bearers, newly elected MLAs and Morcha Presidents at party headquarters, Pt. Premnath Dogra Bhawan, here with reverence and gaiety.
The traditional bonfire was lit and various nuts and sweets were offered. The enthusiastic workers danced spontaneously into Bhangra and congratulated each other on the occasion.

Anil Gupta, Surinder Bhagat, Priya Sethi, Anil Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Subash Jandial, Murari Lal, Krishan Lal, Varinderjit Singh, Nand Kishore, Naresh Dogra, Rajinder Sharma, Arun Chhibber, Rashpal Singh, Vikram Randhawa, Jaideep Sharma, Vinay Gupta, Advocate Naveed Choudhary, Dr. Gagan Bhagat, Pardeep Sharma, Arvind Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Surinder Choudhary, Vijay Choudhary, Narotam Sharma, Ajay Vaid, Sangeeta Gupta, Dinesh Gupta and Prashant Puri took part in the celebrations.
J and K National Conference Jammu Province celebrated Lohri at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan with religious fervour and gaiety. The bonfire was lit and the workers gathered around the fire to pay their obeisance to Lord Agni amid chanting “Gyatri Mantra” followed with folk songs.
Addressing the workers, Rattan Lal Gupta State Vice President said that such festivals strengthen the bond of the brotherhood among the people and bring peace, prosperity and development for the people of the State.
