JAMMU: The Parkash Purab of 10th Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj is being celebrated at the premises of Digiana Ashram Jammu on 28th December, 2014 under the guidance of 108 Mahant Manjit Singh of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch.
This was informed by Avtar Singh Khalsa, General Secretary J and K Sikh United Front while addressing media persons here on Friday. He said that the Parkash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji is being celebrated by the Sikh Sangat of Jammu and Kashmir according to the Sikh Nanak Shahi Calendar with the cooperation of Sikh United Front and many other religious and social organisations of Sikh community including J and K Sikh United Front and Sri Guru Ramdass Sewa Charitable Trust besides all the Sikh Noujawan Sabha and local Gurdwaras’ Management Committees.
Singh said that occasion will be marked with the Shabad Kirtan by Ragi Jathas and Dhadis including Bibi Ashitoshpreet of Jalandhar, Bhai Manpreet Singh Hazoori Ragi of Gurdwara Bangla Sahib Delhi, Dhadijatha Bhai Amrik Singh of Pathankot, Bhai Parvinder Singh Ragi, Bhai Bachan Singh Ragi, Bhai Gian Singh Ragi and Bhai Ranjit Singh of Jammu.
Singh said that Guru Ka Langer shall also be served among the devotees. He appealed to the Sikh Sangat and people of Jammu to attend the congregation and celebrate the birth anniversary (Parkash Purab) of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who sacrificed his life and entire family for the sake of the humanity.
