Panthers slam Govt for ignoring Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: Highlighting issues like repair, black-topping of city and rural roads, repair of damaged transformers, regular power supply, regular drinking water supply, ration supply on every month, relief to flood and rain effected families and filling of all vacant post of doctor and para medical staff in District Hospital Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir national Panthers Party held a protest march at District Headquarters Udhampur on Thursday.
Led by Balwant Singh Mankotia President JKNPP, thousands of workers from different part of district gathered at Slathia Chowk Udhampur and raised slogans against non serious approach of State Govt. towards ignoring Udhampur District in all development works.
The protest march started from Slathia Chowk and culminated at Dy. Commissioner Office, Udhampur. The protesters also blocked Dhar Road Udhampur for one hour in support of their demands.
While addressing the gathering in front of Dy. Commissioner Office Udhampur, Mankotia blamed the State Govt. as well as local elected represented of Udhampur for their total failure to carry forward the development activities in Udhampur Constituency.
Mankotia said that almost six months back assembly polls were held in the State but local elected represented totally failed to carry forward even single development works including routine development works.
Latter all the protesters met Dy. Commissioner Udhampur under the leadership of Balwant Singh Mankotia and submitted the memorandum to Govt. for immediately redressed all mention above issue.
Dy. Commissioner Udhampur Shahid Iqbal assured Mankotia that their all issue will be taken care off well in time.
Others who spoke on the occasion Amarnath Mehra, Jagdev Jagga, Rajinder Bali, Sanjeet Kumar, Sarpanch Kamlu Ram, Sarpanch Subash Singh, Sarpanch Joginder Sharma, Sarpanch Rafiq Chandial ,Gulshan Kesar, Ganesh Kumar, Mirza Khan and Sunil Proach.
