Panthers protest against IRCON

UDHAMPUR: Hundreds of Panthers Party workers under the leadership of Dhani Ram Atri State Secretary Panthers party held a massive protest against the IRCON Company at Slathia Chowk Udhampur and also burnt the effigy of company which was allocated 25 crore work for up gradation of power infrastructure in Udhampur town and it’s adjoining areas including Ghari, Rehamble, Choprashop, Sattani, Jakhani, Dandyal, Omara, Sial Sallan, Omalla etc.
While speaking on the occasion Atri said that in year 2014 work was allotted to IRCON company for the improvement of power infrastructure in Udhampur area but due negligence and apathetic approach of IRCON not even 25 per cent work is completed till date and the material used was having very poor quality which needs high level probe and the people responsible for it should be taken into task. He added that IRCON company further allotted work to sub- contractors who are not clearing the pending liabilities to labour from last six months. He demanded CBI probe in the large scale irregularities being committed by IRCON with support of PDD Department.
Sunil Gudda Sarpanch, Joginder Sharma Sarpanch, Sanjay Sharma, Amarnath Mehra, Amar Singh, Chain Singh, Tarun Kumar and Subash Singh were also present.
