RAMNAGAR: Lambasting the BJP for its failures to protect and safeguard the interests of people of Jammu region during the last 15 months, Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman JKNPP and former Minister, on Sunday forcefully reiterated the resolve of the Panthers Party to ensure social, political and economic justice to the people of this deprived region.
He said that BJP which got overwhelming mandate from Jammu region on the slogan of demolishing the father-daughter party (Baap-Beti Sarkar) and of giving a Jammu CM fell flat before the PDP immediately after winning 25 seats from Jammu region with its juggernaut still celebrating the eleven ministerial berths that it received from the PDP in return for having handed over the reins of government to Kashmir centric leadership.
He was addressing huge public gatherings in Basantgarh, Dudu, Shivgali, Chattrai, Majouri, Kulwanta and Sunetar villages during his two day tour of Ramnagar Constituency.
Lampooning the BJP for thriving on the charity of PDP, Singh said that the 15 months rule of BJP was a sordid tale of treachery and betrayals with none of elected representatives is raking up the persistent deprivation of Jammu region.
He said that even at the present juncture, PDP was dictating terms despite the ‘Agenda of Alliance’ weighing heavily in favour of Kashmir.
He regretted that BJP leaders were still describing the Agenda of Alliance as sacred and visionary despite its total disregard for the concerns of Jammu region. He deplored that not a single slogan or any election promise of BJP had been incorporated in the said agenda and still the said agenda was ‘sacrosanct’ for the BJP.
Accusing BJP of having sold its every single promise and its fundamentals for power, Harsh said that the Saffron Party had proved that all its slogans were negotiable depending upon the price offered.
He added that while the BJP was opposing and demonising the well wishers of Afzal Guru in Delhi and elsewhere, its government in J and K was registering criminal cases against those raising National Flags in NIT Srinagar besides ordering the removal of army bunkers from Kashmir Valley.
Addressing huge gatherings of public, Singh said that JKNPP was the only regional party of Jammu region which had been fighting for the cause of the Dogras right from the time of its inception both inside and outside the legislature.
Harsh said that since the BJP had miserably failed to live up to the people’s expectations by cowardly surrendering all the Jammu based issues before the Kashmir centric leaders for the lust of power, the people of Jammu region were fast reposing faith in the Panthers Party.
While flaying the BJP’s policy of deceit, duplicity and betrayal, Singh cautioned the people not to get trapped again by the rhetoric and tall pronouncements of the Saffron Party and exhorted them to support and strengthen their own Panthers Party which was alone had the capacity and audacity to raise the voice of the people of Jammu region besides confronting the Kashmir centric leadership.
On the local issues of Dudu Basantgarh, the Panthers leader regretted the total neglect of Ramnagar Constituency with not even a single new work taken up for execution during the last 15 months. He further regretted the abandonment of all development works initiated by him during his tenure as MLA.

He said that 27 schemes under R&B had been got sanctioned by him during 2012-13 in Ramnagar Constituency which was the highest number amongst all constituencies of the State and sought immediate commissioning of the said schemes. He further assured the public to raise the issues of ration crisis, power and potable drinking water problems before the concerned authorities. He cautioned the education authorities to make up the deficiency of teaching staff in various remote area schools of Dudu Basantgarh Tehsil particularly HSS Khaned, HS Dandi Chakali, HSS Keya failing which people shall resort to agitational course.
