Inter-club Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament begins

NOWSHERA: Pankaj’s all-round display guided Star Cricket Club to win the opening match of Inter-club Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament, organised by Rajouri Police at Sports Stadium Nowshera, here on Monday
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, ITI scored 136 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 13.3 overs. Manni was the top scorer with 33 runs smashing two sixes and two boundaries. Pankaj and Balkar claimed three wickets each for Star Club. Chasing 137 runs, Star Club made a very poor start by losing six early wickets.
However, Raman played a match winning knock of unbeaten 49 runs with the help of two sixes and two fours while Pankaj scored 25. For his all round performance, Pankaj was declared Man of the Match.
Today’s match was officiated by the technical panel comprising Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Singh and Kashish Kapoor.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by the Chief Guest, Sukhdev Singh, DySP Operations at Sports Stadium Nowshera.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of SHO Nowshera.
Swaran Singh DYSSO Rajouri, Sunit Singh Tehsildar Nowshera, Suresh Nagyal Tehsildar Darhal and veteran cricketer Rakesh Choudhary were also present.
