The 1km stretch of national highway between Panjtirthi and Sidhra by pass has been blocked due to land slides occurred because of heavy rainfalls in Jammu. Although the one lane of the highway has been cleared, all the traffic has been restricted to this way and it has caused much congestion and accident risk. It will take further 2-3 days for the clearing up of highway as the land slide blockages are at 4-5 places with in the stretch.
The drying soil of land slides also create a dusty road as the vehicles pass by creating a low visibility for the drivers.
