Pakistan’s cowardice exposed in Pahalgam genocide: High time for a befitting response
Manmohan Dhar
Enough is enough. This proverb, it seems, has lost its significance in so far as the latest barbaric, brutal and cruel attack on humanity in Pahalgam has been carried out in broad daylight by the merciless, evil and cruel Jehadi terrorists and there is no action to hit back so far.
When shall the Indian incumbent Government live up to the very essence of the aforesaid proverb and send the message across the border loud and clear that, enough is enough.
The serene valleys of Pahalgam, Kashmir, once a symbol of peace and natural beauty, have been stained with blood. The recent genocide carried out against innocent civilians has shaken the conscience of the nation. As investigations unfold, one reality becomes increasingly clear: the trail of terror once again leads back to Pakistan’s door.
For decades, Pakistan has waged an undeclared war against India through proxies and terror outfits. Unable to confront India militarily, Pakistan has resorted to cowardly tactics — sending radicalized militants across the border to spread fear and chaos. The massacre in Pahalgam is the latest manifestation of this ongoing strategy of low-intensity, asymmetric warfare.
The victims in Pahalgam were not soldiers on a battlefield. They were ordinary men, women, and children — targeted simply for their identity and existence.
Such acts reveal not only the inhumanity of the perpetrators but also the sheer moral bankruptcy of their sponsors. Pakistan’s establishment continues to harbor, train, and finance extremist groups while offering hollow denials to the international community.
This genocide is not an isolated incident but part of a larger pattern of demographic aggression and religious cleansing, aimed at unsettling the fragile fabric of Kashmir. Pakistan’s cowardly policy of bleeding India “by a thousand cuts” has once again shown its ugly face. But this time, it must not go unanswered.
A befitting action is not just necessary — it is inevitable. India must respond with the seriousness and strength.
This moment demands not only International Exposure and Stern economic boycott . It is high time to go all out for a befitting reply that goes in line with the international norms for maintaining the national peace and security.
The lives lost in Pahalgam must not be reduced to mere numbers. They are a grim reminder that peace without justice is an illusion. Pakistan’s cowardly tactics are the actions of a nation that knows it cannot stand toe-to-toe with India, except through the shadows of terrorism.
History has shown that inaction only emboldens evil. The time has come for India to act — firmly, decisively, and unapologetically — to ensure that the sacrifices of Pahalgam’s martyrs are honored, and that such an atrocity never repeats.
The world must know: India will not forgive. India will not forget. And India will not stop until justice is done.
“Action” is what is the call of the hour. Time to smell the coffee and take decision in the best interest of the nation and the nationals.
