Pakistan should kill its ‘snakes’

0 92

Dear Editor,
Though it was an attack that was waiting to happen, nobody expected that the terror strike would be at the Wagah border. Everybody will feel sorry for this dastardly attack and for the loss of Pakistani lives, but every Pakistani must do some soul-searching and try to find out the reasons for this type of heinous crime so regularly carried out by the terrorists. It’s high time that Pakistan stops calling the likes of Hafiz Sayeed ‘social workers’. They are terrorists and nothing more. Pakistan must understand this and crack down on elements that plot strikes against India.
Former US secretary of State Hillary Clinton has written in her book, Hard Choices, that Pakistan has kept “poisonous snakes in its backyard and expected them to bite only its neighbours.” It is time to kill the snakes once and for all. If Pakistan continues to shield them in the hope that they will bite only India, it is mistaken.
