RAJOURI: BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta on Wednesday visited various remote villages of Rajouri and took stock of the ongoing developmental works. During this tour, MLC visited Dasal and Muradpur villages and held a series of meetings with the local residents there.
Addressing the locals, Vibodh highlighted various developmental programmes and schemes currently being implemented by Centre and State Governments. He further highlighted the fact that present government is trying its level best to address the various day to day problems of the remote areas with a special focus on the weaker sections of the society. Reacting to regular instances of unprovoked firing by Pak Rangers, Vibodh said that our hostile neighbour never wanted to see us as a developed State. This he said is the main reason that Pak Rangers always try to disturb the peaceful atmosphere along our borders. By creating such an atmosphere they want to stop the pace of development but our brave soldiers supported by our brave people of border always give a befitting reply to the enemy. At the same time, Vibodh expressed serious concern over the loss of life and property of the border people. He said that he is always pained to see the damaged houses of the border people along with the regular killing of livestock as a result of firing by Pak Rangers. Such instances are also leading the agriculture loss as people are always scared to attend to their crop fields on time. This he said is depriving the people of their only source of livelihood in these remote border villages.
On this occasion, Vibodh assured the locals that the State and Central Governments are fully aware of the problems being faced by the border people. This he said is the only reason that Government has sanctioned a large number of community and individual bunkers for the border people. Prominent among other who accompanied MLC Vibodh during this tour included Kamal Bakshi, Ranjeet Tara, Mohd. Azam, Talib Mir, Bodh Raj, Bablu Kumar and Rashu Kumar.
