Over 50 dairy animals treated for gynecological problems

SAMBA: The Department of Animal Husbandry Samba on Wednesday organised a Fertility cum Awareness Camp here at village Rangoor of Block Vijaypur.
More than 100 farmers participated in the camp and 50 dairy animals suffering from various gynecological problems like anoestrus, repeat breeder, cystic ovaries etc. were provided free of cost treatment by a team of doctors from the Animal Husbandry Department District Samba.
The Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. D.B Singh made the farmers aware about various gynecologist problems prevalent in the dairy animals and their proper treatment.
A large number of progressive breeders of village Rangoor and adjoining villages , besides public representatives including Sarpanchs and Panchs were also present in the camp. A team of doctors from the Department comprising Dr. N.S Slathia, Dr. Vijay Attri and Dr. Naveen Kumar provided treatment to the animals in the camp.
It was informed that the Department had organised a similar camp at village Shah Balode in Block Samba on 30th August 2014 where more than 50 animals suffering from different gynecological disorders were given free treatment by the team of doctors under the supervision of Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Samba.
