JAMMU: Pradesh Congress Committee Chief G.A Mir said that outsourcing of State’s assets or heritages to outside groups or persons is unacceptable. Jammu and Kashmir is full of assets and heritages, any move to outsource them would affect the development of the State badly.
JKPCC Chief was addressing one day political convention of Congress workers and leaders at Town Hall Kulgam on Wednesday.
PCC Chief while addressing the convention stated that our State cannot afford to outsource the State’s assets to outside groups as this move will have serious consequence on the overall development of State. “We have a vibrant JK TDC, Golf Development Authorities and so many other developmental authorities and assets in shape of Unique Heritages of Jammu and Kashmir, which can provide employment avenues to hundreds of unemployed youth. State Government can generate job opportunities from the State assets provided it (Govt) is interested to do so, any move to outsource the State assets will certainly be not good for the State and it would put the state to a great loss”, he maintained. He asked the State Government not to even think of outsourcing State assets as it will have serious repercussions in future. He warned the State Government to concentrate on the development of Jammu and Kashmir State, preservation of assets and heritages, as this move on the part of State Govt will be in the larger interests of State and people.
Terming the State assets and heritages as unique identity of the State, PCC Chief said that Congress Party is committed to safeguard and protect the State assets and it (Congress) will not allow anyone to misuse or outsource these for personal benefit.
Referring to the recent attacks on Mobile Services, Mir hits out at Union Home Minister and expressed surprise over his silence. Sensing a great threat to peace and tranquility JK PCC Chief said the attack on Mobile Services will vitiate the atmosphere of peace, badly affect the Tourist influx and would hit the Tourism Industry in Kashmir Valley to a great extent. Mir urged both State and Central Governments to show some seriousness and ensure safety of Mobile Services in the larger interests of peace in the State.
