Operation Sindoor to continue until Pakistan buries its ambitions of spreading cross-border terrorism
JAMMU: Pakistan is mistaken if it thinks that Operation Sindoor launched by India has settled all the dust after the terrible Pahalgam terror attack of April 22nd, because it will have to remove all the remnants of terrorism from its land and mind for operation to stop. It is continuing and the world is watching a new India that is not only punishing terrorists and their infrastructure within the country and across the border, setting new tone and tenor for means and the goals to be achieved against terrorism.

The military operation against the terror infrastructure located in Pakistan was considered inevitable , after the brutal attack on tourists in Baisaran meadow of Pahalgam , one of the popular tourist resorts in the Valley . This inevitability was driven by two major factors : the attack on tourists distinguished on the basis of their religious faith , had all the finger prints of Pakistani terrorists .
Pakistan started the tension and made it imperative for India to respond when it committed barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam last month .Thereafter , India was within its rights to respond to the terror that originated from Pakistan- directions to enact the massacre in a way it was undertaken in the meadow , and the whole planning was made in the headquarters of the terror outfits , in coordination and consultation with Pakistan’s spy agency – ISI. The terrorists were sent by Pakistan to do the dirty job , besmirching the landscape of Kashmir.
They had been enacting such massacres in Jammu and Kashmir ‘s Kishtwar on August 14, 1993 . The painful symbols of this template were visible from 1989 onwards, when the select killings of Kashmiri Pandits began in the Valley . In between , terrorists continued with extremist ideology of gaining Islamist supremacy by forcing Hindus out of the Valley, and enacting carnage elsewhere in J&K. The hilly areas of Jammu region became prime targets of the barbarians wielding guns and axes.

Second , the Indian government was left with no option but to punish Pakistan in its home as it refused to acknowledge that an act of terror has taken place in Pahalgam. It gave it another twist, accusing the Indians having staged a ” false flag operation” to blame Pakistan. This was such a ridiculous argument that no country in the world believed what it stated and argued . This removed all the doubts about its involvement in the attack.
The Indian leadership had made no secret of its plans: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised an unimaginable punishment for the perpetrators and their backers , within hours after the attack. Union Home Minister Amit shah, during his visit to Kashmir, immediately after the barbaric killings in scenic Pahalgam , made it clear that the terrorists , behind the killings, will find no space to hide .
As the kind of events that unfolded after the April 22nd Pahalgam attack, , showed that there was a widespread support for the Government of India and whatever it might deem fit to punish the Pakistani terrorists , their backers and planners. The Valley observed an impromptu shutdown – an unprecedented feature in the 35-year-long troubles – and held rallies demanding justice for the victims of the terror attack. They were asking for action against terrorists involved in the bloodbath in Pahalgam, besides against all those who helped them . They were not hinting, but pointing fingers toward Pakistan.
What has come out of the start of the operations, in response to Pahalgam terror attack , is that it is just the beginning and these will continue until the whole chapter and book of terrorism is shut by Pakistan . The onus is on Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
