Ongoing protest of Bar Association continues, asks Admn to fulfill demands

JAMMU: Continuing its ongoing protest, J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu under the leadership of its President, senior Adv M K Bhardwaj held a strong protest at District Court Complex, Janipur in support of its long pending demands. The Bar members abstained from work in all Courts including High Court, District Courts, Tribunals & Commissions. The lawyers held protest demanding construction of multi-storey building for housing all judicial works i.e., Registration work, CAT, DRT, AFT and other Tribunals within court premises. The fraternity has resolved to keep their protest going on till redressal of their grievances. A number of senior and young advocates along which other office bearers namely Mohinder Pal Singh Pali, Surjeet Singh Andotra, Aditya Sharma, Amandeep Singh, Rohit Sharma, Gagandeep Singh Lucky, Yaseer Farooq Khan, Karanjeet Singh Johal and Naresh Kumar participated in the protest in support of their demands.
Speaking on the occasion, senior Adv M K Bhardwaj said that Bar Association has been protesting in support of its long pending demands and even presented a memorandum to LG, but nothing has been done by the administration to fulfill the same forcing the Bar to continue its agitation. JKHCBAJ further warned the administration to resolve their demands and do the needful, failing which the Bar Association shall take all necessary steps required in this behalf to ensure that demands of lawyer fraternity are met.
