JAMMU: Judicial Magistrate Billawar Pooja Gupta on Friday convicted one Raj Kumar for one year imprisonment in an accident case filed under FIR No 101/2009 under section 304-A and fined Rs 3,000.
According to the case that on September 17, 2009 an information was received at Police Post Ramkot at 5:00 PM a tractor (No PB54C/5633) being driven by the accused from Barnota towards Gucha Kalyal in rash and negligent driving hit a scooter killing the rider Raj Mohd on the spot. Police registered a case and after completion of investigation presented challan which was decided on Friday by Judicial Magistrate Billawar Pooja Gupta who after hearing Senior PO JP Singh awarded one year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 3,000 to Raj Kumar driver of tractor.
