One killed, six injured as vehicle falls into gorge

POUNI : One person died while six others were injured on Monday in a road accident near Pouni in district Reasi.
A four wheeler tempo bearing registration No JK20-2752, fell into 100-meter deep gorge near Sandhoor Bridge in Pouni area injuring seven persons, said a senior police officer. The vehicle was carrying labourers to a construction site near Shiv Khori Shrine from Domail when it met with the accident.
All the seven injured were shifted by SHO Pouni J.J Bhagat to Primary Health Centre Pouni with the assistance of locals. After providing first aid the six injured persons including Dheraj Sharma (24) son of Gori Shanker resident of Triyath(driver), Sushil Singh (27) son of Bagwan Singh resident of Kamalpur Teh. Coul dist Aligard, Raj Kumar (26) son of Ram Baksh Barma resident of Damoor Pur Ambedkar Nagar UP, Ram Ganesh (23) son of Budh Sain resident of Satna Teh. Chehr MP, Goodu (23) son of Puran Chand resident of Magwar Bandhi UP, Ram Saran (35) son of Shote Lal resident of UP, all at presently residing at Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, whose condition was serious, were evacuated to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu while Inder Sain (30) son of Jash Raj resident of Belrai ,Sant Kabeer Nagar UP is admitted in PHC Pouni.
However, Dheeraj Sharma (24) son of Gouri Shankar resident of Triyath, the driver of the vehicle, succumbed to his injuries enroute and his body was handed over to his family members after completing legal formalities.
Pouni Police have registered the case for investigation.
