JAMMU: Police on Monday arrested a man and recovered 55 bags of CAPD ration from the vehicle he was driving at Jammu.
According to a report, a team of Police Post Panjthirthi led by Incharge Police Post Rajesh Kumar during a Naka intercepted a Tata Mobile (JK02AJ-6875). During the search of vehicle, it was found carrying 55 bags (50 kg each) of CAPD ration (20 bags rice and 35 bags sugar). The driver identified as Sanjay Kumar son of Ram Lal resident of Jhajjar Kotli was arrested on the spot and ration seized.
A case under FIR No 85/15 section 3/7 Essential Commodities Act was registered against the arrested driver.
The Naka was laid under the supervision of SHO Pakka Danga Inspector Jatinder Singh, SDPO Parmjeet Parihar SP CITY Shiv Kumar Chauhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
