JAMMU: Police on Friday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 1,750 gram poppy straw from his possession.
According to a report, a party of Police Post Tallab Tillo led by In-charge Police Post Sumeet Sharma during Naka at Paolura intercepted a pedestrian moving suspiciously.
During checking of his belongings (bag), police found 1 kg 750 gram poppy straw in it.
The accused identified as Sajan Kumar son of Shinder Pal resident of Nawanshehr Punjab was arrested and a case under FIR No 75/2015 section 8/15 NDPS Act was registered against him.
