JAMMU: Police on Wednesday arrested a person who was involved in stealing books from various book shops forcibly.
According to a shop owner Sanjay Gupta, a resident of Rehari Colony that two persons came to his shop, Sanjay Pen House Rehari Colony on a scooty and took books set costing Rs 12,000.
In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 69/16 under section 382 RPC was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar. During investigation In-charge Police Post Sarwal SI Vikas Hans arrested a person Manthan Sethi son of Rajpaul Sethi resident of H. No 421-A Gandhi Nagar Jammu. During investigation he disclosed that snatching was done by him at different places of Jammu, Akhnoor, Digyana, Paloura and Sastri Nagar and sold the books to Sahil Book Centre Shastri Nagar as use books and recovered accordingly.
The arrest was made by Sub Inspector Vikas Hans.
