UDHAMPUR: In two different road accidents, one person died on the spot at Ramnagar while a woman received serious injuries after being knocked down by an unknown biker at Tikri in Udhampur.
According to a report, a tractor trolley bearing No. JK14C-1579 which was on its way to Ramnagar from village Gourlong on reaching just 5km short of Ramnagar fell into a deep gorge. In the accident driver of the vehicle died on the spot and was identified as Kartar Chand son of Sant Ram resident of Ramnagar. Police handed over his body to family members to perform last rites.
While in another road accident, a woman was knocked down by unknown biker near Tikri resulting in her receiving critical injuries and was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur. The woman was identified as Geeta Devi wife of Nikku resident of Tikri . Ramnagar and Udhampur Police have registered the cases and launched the investigation.
