CHANDIGARH/LUDHIANA: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Tuesday fired the Bhagwant Mann government for driving Punjab to a state of bankruptcy for political gains.
In a statement, Chugh said the AAP government in Punjab has only become a shelter-home for senior party leaders like Arvind Kejriwal and Sisodia at the heavy cost of state exchequer.
Chugh said it is alarming that all departments have been asked to return funds to the state treasury at a moment when the Ludhiana by-election is taking place.
Launching a scathing attack on the AAP government for completely engineering the collapse of Punjab’s financial position, Chugh said the singularly important contribution of the AAP government in Punjab has been to promote gangsters, land mafias, liquor mafias.
He said the Bhagwant Mann government has become a puppet government in the hands of Kejriwal, who is on bail for criminal offences. The entire resources of the Punjab government are being used to nurture and promote AAP workers from Delhi at the cost of the Punjab state exchequer, he added.
Chugh called upon voters in Ludhiana to give AAP a crushing defeat at a time when the state is looking for a new sunrise.
