JAMMU: Former Chief Minister and working President National Conference Omar Abdullah on Monday came out all guns firing aiming at the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Omar was provided with the ammunition by none other than Advisor to Chief Minister Prof Amitabh Mattoo shortly after he launched damage control exercise to shore up the image of the alliance government in the wake of ban on publication of news papers from Kashmir.
In a series of tweets, Omar even questioned the leader ship ability of sitting Chief Minister. “Leaving others to take the blame for all the decisions that fail is the worst leadership & @MehboobaMufti blames all her failures on others” Omar tweeted late Monday evening.
Participating in the discussion on the micro blogging site Omar tweeted, “If you needed an admission that NO ONE is in charge in Srinagar at the moment you got it from the advisor to the CM. “Miscommunication”. If that is all it was why did it take 48 hours to correct? Omar tweeted in response to the statement made by Prof Mattoo on the TV show. “No ban on newspapers, there was some miscommunication. Papers can publish,” Amitabh Mattoo, Advisor to Jammu and Kashmir CM had stated while participating in the discussion. Mattoo had clarified, “In the age of globalisation, there is no question of imposing ban. The Chief Minister herself believes in freedom of expression even if it is against establishment. Mattoo had even promised firm action against the guilty for imposing ban on press.
“Need to know who took decision on ban. Will take action once crisis is over: Heads will roll; will act against those responsible for the ban”,Mattoo said.
